US Fast Food Restaurants Gain More Presence Abroad

3:45 pm Travel and Leisure

Foreign companies are investing more money into US fast food restaurants. It is not difficult to do since the franchiser provides the basics, like advertisement and recipes, and the franchisee is responsible for the operations. Hamburger, pizza and chicken franchises are gaining more presence in foreign markets all over the world. McDonalds has been and will likely remain the fast food leader. It holds the largest number of franchises abroad. Kentucky Fried Chicken is following with the second largest number of KFC locations in the world. Burger King is no longer a US-owned after it was purchases by the Grand Metropolitan from London, UK. Some food chains had to make adjustments to their menus based on local food preferences, thus gaining more popularity with their customers.
